Abstract

The number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra through 4 (four) entrances in June 2023 reached 16,667 visits, while in May 2023 there were 16,365 foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra.
During the January - June 2023 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra increased by 894.81 percent when compared to the same period in 2022, namely from 9,531 visits in January - June 2022 it rose to 94,815 visits in the 2023 period.
The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels in North Sumatra in June 2023 averaged 50.17 percent, or an increase of 2.49 points compared to May 2023 of 47.68 percent.
The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels was 1.39 days during June 2023, down 0.04 points compared to May 2023 of 1.43 days.
The number of domestic passengers departing from North Sumatra through Kualanamu International Airport during June 2023 recorded 216,748 people, down 12.74 percent compared to May 2023 which recorded 248,404 people.
The number of inter-island (domestic) sea transport passengers departing during June 2023 was recorded at 9,566 people, a decrease of 49.79 percent compared to the previous month of 19,051 people.
