Abstract

  • The number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara through 4 (four) entrances in February 2023 reached 15,119 visits, while in January 2023 there were 14,195 foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara.
  • For the January - February 2023 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara cannot be compared to the same period in 2022, namely from 0 visits in January - February 2022 it has increased to 29,314 visits in the 2023 period.
  • The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels in Sumatera Utara in February 2023 averaged 47.50 percent, or an increase of 4.91 points compared to January 2023 of 42.59 percent.
  • The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels was 1.52 days during February 2023, up 0.13 points compared to January 2023 of 1.39 days.
  • The number of domestic passengers departing from Sumatera Utara through Kualanamu International Airport during February 2023 was recorded at 190,693 people, down 25.32 percent compared to January 2023 which recorded 255,345 people.
  • The number of inter-island (domestic) sea transport passengers departing during February 2023 was recorded at 7,019 people, down 68.24 percent compared to the previous month of 22,102 people
