Abstract

  • The number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara through 4 (four) entrances in July 2023 reached 17,612 visits, while in June 2023 there were 16,667 foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara.
  • During the January - July 2023 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara increased by 559.43 percent when compared to the same period in 2022, from 17,049 visits in January - July 2022 to 112,427 visits in the 2023 period.
  • The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in Sumatera Utara in July 2023 averaged 50.01 percent, or decreased by 0.16 points compared to June 2023 of 50.17 percent.
  • The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels was 1.81 days during July 2023, up 0.42 points compared to June 2023 of 1.39 days.
  • The number of domestic passengers departing from Sumatera Utara via Kualanamu International Airport during July 2023 recorded 248,679 people, up 14.73 percent compared to June 2023 which recorded 216,748 people.
  • The number of inter-island (domestic) sea transport passengers departing during July 2023 was recorded at 12,613 people, an increase of 31.85 percent compared to the previous month of 9,566 people.
