Abstract

The number of domestic passengers arriving in North Sumatra through Kualanamu International Airport in January 2025 reached 207,422 people or in other words, it decreased by 15.33 percent compared to the previous month (there were 244,967 people).
The number of air passengers going to international destinations, both using domestic and foreign flights via Kualanamu International Airport, in January 2025 increased by 1.35 percent compared to December 2024, namely from 110,782 people to 112,283 people.
The number of inter-island sea transportation passengers (domestic) departing from Belawan Port in January 2025 was recorded as many as 14,901 people or increased by 14.71 percent compared to the previous month (there were 12,990 people). Meanwhile, the number of passengers arriving in January 2025 was recorded at 25,923 people, or increasing 32.21 percent compared to the previous month (there were 19,608 people).
During January 2025, inter-island freight transportation for loading activities at Belawan Port reached 39,299 tons, or increased by 147.94 percent compared to December 2024 (there were 15,850 tons). Meanwhile, the unloading activities in January 2025 decreased by 38.22 percent, from 514,839 tons in December 2024 to 318,056 tons in January 2025.
