Abstract

  • The total workforce in February 2024 was 8,000 million people, an increase of 226 thousand people compared to February 2023. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) fell by 0.30 percentage points.
  • The working population is 7.592 million people, an increase of 131 thousand people from February 2023. The employment opportunities that have experienced the largest increase are the Wholesale and Retail Trade Sector; Car and Motorcycle Repair and Maintenance (191 thousand people).
  • A total of 3.221 million people (42.42 percent) worked in formal activities, an increase of 0.04 percentage points compared to February 2023.
  • The percentage of underemployed and part-time workers has increased, respectively, by 2.08 percentage points and 0.94 percentage points compared to February 2023.
  • The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) for February 2024 was 5.10 percent, down 0.14 percentage points compared to February 2023.
