Work Visit of the Head of BPS Nias Regency to the Nias Regency Government Office

On Monday, November 25, 2024, the Head of the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Nias Regency conducted a work visit to the Nias Regency Government Office. The visit aimed to discuss several important agendas related to improving the quality and scope of statistical data in Nias Regency.

During the meeting with the Regent of Nias, Ya'atulo Gulo, discussions centered on land grants and the construction of a new BPS Nias Regency office building. The Regent welcomed the proposal and agreed to expedite the land grant process so that the building construction could begin soon. The new building is expected to enhance the capacity and effectiveness of BPS in producing high-quality statistical data.

Additionally, the launch of the Integrity Zone initiative for BPS Nias Regency was discussed. The Integrity Zone is part of BPS's efforts to achieve a Corruption-Free Zone (WBK) and a Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Zone (WBBM). With this initiative, public services at BPS Nias Regency are expected to become more efficient and transparent.

On the same occasion, the Head of BPS expressed appreciation for the improvement in the Statistical Development Index (IPS) of Nias Regency. This improvement indicates better quality and availability of statistical data in the region.

Furthermore, the Head of BPS met with the Regional Secretary, Mr. Samson Zai, to discuss the implementation of Sectoral Statistics Development in various Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPDs) in Nias Regency. Both parties agreed that sectoral statistics development is progressing well and positively contributes to enhancing the quality of statistical data at the regency level.
