July 2023, Sumatera Utara's exports will increase by 7.74 percent

Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the Sumatera Utara region in July 2023 increased compared to June 2023, from US$900.36 million to US$970.08 million, an increase of 7.74 percent. When compared with July 2022, Sumatera Utara's exports decreased by 22.37 percent
The group of goods that experienced the largest increase in export value in July 2023 compared to June 2023 was a group of various processed foods, which increased by US$97.08 million (2,280.02%), while the group of goods that experienced the largest decline in export value were animal fats and oils/ vegetable amounting to US$151.92 million (-34.91%).
Exports to China in July 2023 were the largest, namely US$186.97 million, followed by the United States of US$115.41 million and India of US$87.12 million with the contribution of the three of them reaching 40.15 percent.
According to the main export destination countries in July 2023, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$371.49 million (38.29%).
