Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting North Sumatra through 4 (four) entrances in April 2023 reached 16,151 visits, while in March 2023 there were 16,196 foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra.
During the January - April 2023 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra increased by 12,134.26 percent when compared to the same period in 2022, from 505 visits in January - April 2022 to 61,783 visits in the 2023 period.
The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in North Sumatra in April 2023 averaged 41.29 percent, or decreased by 4.12 points compared to March 2023 of 45.41 percent.
The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels was 1.64 days during April 2023, up 0.20 points compared to March 2023 of 1.44 days.
The number of domestic passengers departing from North Sumatra via Kualanamu International Airport during April 2023 recorded 209,727 people, up 6.06 percent compared to March 2023 which recorded 197,738 people.
The number of inter-island (domestic) sea transport passengers departing during April 2023 was recorded at 10,485 people, an increase of 77.80 percent compared to the previous month of 5,897 people.
