April 2023, Sumatera Utara's exports have decreased by 23.33 percent

Abstract

  • The value of exports through loading ports in the Sumatera Utara region in April 2023 decreased compared to March 2023, namely from US$910.39 million to US$698.02 million or a decrease of 23.33 percent. When compared to April 2022, Sumatera Utara's exports decreased by 45.93 percent.
  • The category of goods that experienced the largest decline in export value in April 2023 compared to March 2023 was the animal/vegetable fats and oils, which decreased by US$104.88 million (-28.12%), while the group of goods that experienced the largest increase in export value was the dregs group. /food industry residue of US$3.84 million (6.94%).
  • Exports to China in April 2023 were the largest, namely US$112.24 million, followed by the United States of US$85.49 million and India of US$57.06 million with the contribution of the three of them reaching 36.50 percent.
  • According to the main export destination countries in April 2023, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$265.33 million (38.01%)
