Abstract

  • The value of exports through loading ports in the Sumatera Utara region in September 2022 decreased compared to August 2022, from US$1.35 billion to US$1.15 billion or decreased by 14.85 percent. When compared to September 2021, North Sumatra's exports increased by 8.49 percent
  • The category of goods that experienced the largest decline in exports of animal/vegetable fats and oils was US$164.30 million (-24.52%) followed by various chemical products, which amounted to US$17.89 million (-11.31%).
  • Exports to China in September 2022 were the largest at US$238.65 million, followed by the United States at US$112.09 million and India at US$100.70 million with the contribution of the three reaching 39.35 percent.
  • According to the group of main export destinations in September 2022, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$476.91 million (41.56%).
