Abstract

The number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra through 4 (four) entrances in September 2021 reached 3 visits, a decrease of 25.00 percent compared to those who came in August 2021 which reached 4 visits.
For the September 2021 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra decreased by 91.67 percent compared to the same period in 2020, from 36 visits in 2020 to 3 visits in 2021.
In September 2021, foreign tourists from Canada were the most visitors with 1 visit or 33.33 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra.
The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels in North Sumatra in September 2021 reached an average of 37.07 percent, or an increase of 9.64 points compared to August 2021 of 27.43 percent.
The average length of stay of foreign guests and North Sumatran guests at five-star hotels in September 2021 reached 1.49 days, down 0.08 points compared to August 2021.
The number of domestic passengers departing from North Sumatra via Kualanamu International Airport during September 2021 reached 80,935 people, an increase of 63.66 percent compared to August 2021 which reached 49,453 people.
The number of inter-island sea transport passengers (domestic) departing in September 2021 was recorded at 455 people, a decrease of 78.72 percent compared to the previous month of 2,138 people.
