Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the North Sumatra region in August 2021 increased compared to July 2021, from US$993.84 million to US$1.16 billion or an increase of 16.37 percent. When compared to August 2020, North Sumatra's exports increased by 69.38 percent
The category of goods that experienced the largest increase in North Sumatra's export value in August 2021 compared to July 2021 was animal/vegetable fats and oils of US$105.86 million (23.12%).
Exports to China in August 2021 were the largest at US$166.18 million, followed by the United States at US$133.79 million and India at US$130.74 million with the contribution of the three reaching 37.24 percent.
According to the main group of export destinations in August 2021, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$432.78 (37.42%)
