The Farmer Exchange Rate of Sumatera Utara Province in November 2020 was 114.00

Abstraction

• Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is the comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
• NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
• In November 2020, the NTP of North Sumatra Province (2018 = 100) was recorded at 114.00 or an increase of 1.77 percent compared to the NTP in October 2020, which was 112.01.
• The increase in NTP in November 2020 was caused by an increase in NTP in two sub-sectors, namely the NTP of the People's Plantation sub-sector by 3.62 percent and NTP in the Animal Husbandry sub-sector by 0.76 percent. Meanwhile, the NTP of the Food Crops subsector decreased by 0.23 percent, the NTP of the Horticultural Crops subsector decreased by 1.54 percent, and the NTP of the fisheries subsector decreased by 0.09 percent.
• Changes in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) reflect rural inflation / deflation figures. In November 2020, there was rural inflation in North Sumatra of 0.37 percent.
• The North Sumatra Province Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) November 2020 amounted to 114.73 or an increase of 1.99 percent compared to NTUP the previous month.
