National Statistics Day 2024

Hello #DataFriends, today is observed as National Statistics Day (NSD). In the 2024 NSD celebration, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) has set the theme "Quality Statistics for Golden Indonesia." This theme emphasizes the importance of statistical data in building the Vision of Golden Indonesia 2045, realizing Indonesia as a "Sovereign, Advanced, and Sustainable Archipelagic Nation."

The statistical data used as the foundation for national development does not only come from BPS. Other ministries and agencies also have the authority to produce sectoral data that meet the planning policy needs in their respective fields. BPS, as a state agency in the field of statistics, also plays a role in strengthening sectoral statistics by providing guidance to ministries/agencies in accordance with Presidential Regulation No. 39 of 2019 on One Data Indonesia.

With quality statistical data, decision-making in policy creation will be data-driven to meet needs and target accurately, as a step towards Golden Indonesia 2045.
